DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS AN ATHLETE

Growing up I've always been heavily involved in sports, I always had the 50/50 split of Hockey + skiing in the winters and Golf + Baseball in the summers. Being active has always just been the best way to relieve stress for me and when COVID hit I knew I needed something new to distract me. I fell into CrossFit in the midst of lock downs and it was my saving grace for those few years. I thrive most when things get difficult and with CrossFit it seems like everyday is a different challenge.

WHAT CAN MEMBERS EXPECT IN YOUR CLASS / coaching style

Terrible jokes to start. I like to center my class around the idea that sometimes just moving for the day is enough and that's okay. I love to push athletes to do the best they can but I also recognize that not everyday needs to be your best day and just showing up is more than enough. Taking time to do the smaller things in class is sometimes more beneficial in the long run not only for physical health but also mental.

THE GREATEST LESSON YOU'VE LEARNED IN THE FITNESS INDUSTRY.

Resting and stretching are the MOST important pieces when it comes to keeping your body moving for a long time. I am notorious for skipping a good stretch and trying to fit too many workouts in a week and I found it only slowed my growth as an athlete and hindered me in the long run. That's why I like to focus on the slower and smaller movements when it comes to my class.
